Description
Lineol German Field Hospital (Feldlazarett) with Eight Medical Figures. A destroyed building converted to a field hospital is the basis of this Lineol tableau. The building measures approximately 9.5" x 7.5" and is constructed of wood that has been textured and painted with excellent detail. A cloth lean-to with a printed red cross is attached to one side of the building. The building and scenery are in excellent condition. The composition figures include an Elastolin stretcher bearer set (the hand of one bearer missing), rescue dog, unmarked nurse figure carrying a pail (missing an arm), unmarked doctor/wounded scene, unmarked wounded soldier, and a medic marked "Armee" on the base. The figures have been added to the hospital and are not original to the set. Accompanying the set is a wooden guard box with Elastolin guard figure. The figures are in overall good condition exhibiting some fading, chipping, small cracks and general moderate playwear.Auction Info
