Description

Unusual Form C. 1850 Surgeon's Capital Bone Saw. Bow configuration, 14 1/2" overall with 8 3/4" blade that is 1/2" wide. Very unusual 4" ebony plaque grips that are adjustable with a pivoted, toothed, latch at the back. First example we've seen. Marked Mathieu on the face of the bow. Near perfect condition with just some minor scattered staining. Very rare form.
