Wernher von Braun Original 1958 Army Ballistic Missile Agency Badge Photo, in Acrylic Display. A 2.25" x 3.5" B&W photo of a young von Braun posed behind an ID slate with his name and "USABMA TU 3-1". The ABMA was formed in 1956 at the Redstone Arsenal in Alabama with the purpose of developing the Army's first large ballistic missile. It was commanded by Major General John B. Medaris and Dr. von Braun was technical director. Originally an exhibit at the Alabama Space & Rocket Center as stamped on the verso. 3.5" x 5.5" overall. A rare piece of history. Fine.Auction Info
