Description
Project Mercury: Limited Edition Liberty Bell 7 Metal Model and In Search of Liberty Bell 7 VHS Cassette. An approximately 4" tall metal likeness of the Capsule that Gus Grisson flew on July 21, 1961. Grissom's capsule sunk shortly after splashdown due to hatch detonation. Affixed to the marble base is a metal plate numbered "0460". It is accompanied by a copy of the In Search of Liberty Bell 7 film that details the challenges faced during the recovery of the sunken capsule in 1999. Very fine.Auction Info
