Single Percussion Salon Pistol by E.F. Buchel, Mehlis. .44 caliber, 7-inch browned octagonal barrel with dovetailed front sight and open rear sight. Top flat marked: E.F. Buchel en Mehlis in silver inlay. Silver band at breech. Scroll-engraved upper tang, dolphin hammer and lockplate. Screws engraved. Light walnut stock with engraved German silver furniture and horn fore-end cap. Finely checkered wrist panels. Spurred triggerguard. German silver wedge escutcheons. Hardwood ramrod with German silver tip. Condition: Excellent with slight handling and storage wear present. Wood excellent. Action tight and crisp.Auction Info
