Scarce Pair of English Flintlock Dueling Pistols by T. Harvey. .64 caliber, 10 1/4-inch tapered smoothbore barrels with slight swamping at the muzzles. London, English and maker's proofs at faceted breeches. Top flats with modest engraved linework. Engraved flintlock mechanisms with legend: T. Harvey on a riband. No flints. Varnished relief-carved walnut stocks with delicate scrolling silver wire inlays at rear of breeches. Vacant rococo domed wrist escutcheons. Ornate silver furniture with pierced floral theme counterplate, CF and other proofs. Grotesque face pommel caps with long languets. Hardwood ramrods with silver tips. Condition: Both are good to very good. Showing light age wear, cleaning and light spotting. One example with minor period repair to sliver crack on left fore-end. Wood with light wear and bruises. Actions good but lack flints.
