Description

Apollo 12 Flown American Flag Originally from the Collection of NASA Flight Director Clifford Charlesworth with Letter of Authenticity. A 5.5" x 3.5" (sight size) U.S. silk flag matted to an 8" x 10" certificate with the printed text: "This flag was carried to the moon by the crew of Apollo 12/ November 19, 1969 - Ocean of Storms". Beneath that is a printed reproduction of the plaque left on the moon with the crew's facsimile signatures. Apollo 12 was the second manned moon landing mission with Commander Pete Conrad, Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean, and Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon aboard. This was given by Leslie Charlesworth Lousma (Clifford's daughter) to her best friend, Judy Kuchta, in 1991. Kuchta has signed the LOA. Very fine.
