Description
Apollo 11 Crew-Signed Lunar Plaque Photo, in Framed Display. A 10" x 6.5" (sight size) image of the lunar plaque that Apollo 11 took to the Moon's surface. It has been signed by each crew member near their facsimile signatures: "Neil Armstrong", "M Collins", and "Buzz Aldrin". This plaque design, displaying a map of Earth's hemispheres and the message "We came in peace for all mankind", became one of the most iconic symbols of the Apollo program. The original stainless-steel version was attached to the leg of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module Eagle and remains on the Moon today. Framed to an overall 15.25" x 13". Very fine.Auction Info
