Description
Apollo 11 Crew-Signed Fifteenth Anniversary Certificate with Mission Patch from the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans, also Signed by NASA Administrator James Beggs, Directly from the Dr. Rocco Petrone Family Collection. A 10.375" x 13.375" (sight size) certificate in a nice mat/folder with a 4" AB Emblem embroidered mission insignia patch at top left with text reading: "The 15th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing/ Tranquility Base/ July 20, 1969. Commemorated at the 1984 World's Fair/ Louisiana World Exposition/ New Orleans/ July 20, 1984". Beneath is an area labeled "The Apollo 11 Crew" with spaces for all three to sign as follows in black inks: "Neil Armstrong", "MCollins", and "Buzz Aldrin". At bottom is the NASA seal and the Beggs signature. The first of these Heritage has offered. The signature area could easily be matted separately. Very fine.Auction Info
