Lot of Two French Napoleonic Helmet Plates. Comprising: 1) Silver-washed die-stamped copper grenadier's helmet plate with rooster and stands of flags and cannon over a flaming bomb flanked by oakleaf boughs. . Size: 5 3/8-inches tall. 2) French die-struck helmet plate of silver-washed copper with rooster within a wreath of laurel and oakleaf boughs surmounted over a panoply of arms. Below is a vacant frame designed for an additional element or regimental designation not present. Size: 5 1/4-inches tall. Condition: Both are very good, showing age wear and patina. #2 with soldering marks on reverse.Auction Info
