Apollo 17 Launch Cover Featuring Mission Insignia and Mouse Cachet Signed by Gene Cernan and Ron Evans Directly from the Personal Collection of Michael Collins, CAG Certified. A philatelic cover with a pictorial postmark from Kennedy Space Center dated December 7, 1972. The color cachet features the mission insignia as well as an "astronaut" mouse. The mouse represents the five mice that were carried aboard the mission for scientific research. Signed in blue and black felt tips: "Gene Cernan" and "Ron Evans". Accompanying the postal cover is an additional COA written by Michael Collins in blue ink on a 5" x 3" notecard: "I hereby certify that this / commemorative cover was signed / by Gene Cernan and Ron Evans, Apollo XVII, and given to me / in 1973. It has been in my possession / ever since. / Michael Collins Apollo XI CMP". Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve, CAG 3000048-008. Excellent.
