Description
Hubert Humphrey Personal Congratulatory Letter to Michael Collins Regarding Gemini Program, Signed by Collins and Directly from His Personal Collection, CAG Certified and Encapsulated. An 8" x 10.5" congratulatory message from Hubert H. Humphrey, dated December 8, 1966. The letter reads in part: "The program has proven through experience so many things about astronauts' courage and spacemanship, the reliability of our launch vehicles and spacecraft, and the efficiency and dedication of our support personnel. More-over, it has imprinted on the pages of space history a series of records which reflect so clearly technical competence this nation has already reached in its national space program. There is, however, much more to be done." Signed at close in black ink: "Hubert H. Humphrey". Included is the original envelope used to send, which bears both Humphrey's and Collins' signatures.
