Very Rare Apollo 11 Crew Signed Disabled American Veterans Airmen Squadron Cover Directly from the Personal Collection of Michael Collins, CAG Certified. A philatelic cover, possibly unique, signed by all three Apollo 11 astronauts and with postal cancellations for each important day of their mission. The business size envelope has the pictorial return address of the Disabled American Veterans Airman's Squadron based at Brackett Field in La Verne, California. The astronauts have signed below the illustration in various inks "Neil Armstrong" / "Michael Collins" / "Buzz Aldrin". The envelope is annotated with the typewritten title "Philatelic Cover Commemorating The Flight of Apollo XI". It bears four different stamps (10¢ U.S. Airmail, Scott #C72, 6¢ FDR, Scott #1284, 6¢ Flag, Scott #1338, 30¢ Special Delivery, Scott #E21), each cancelled with a post mark on the four important dates in the Apollo 11 mission, each typed beneath the corresponding date: July 16, 1969 - "Launch of / Apollo XI", July 20, 1969 - "Eagle Landing & / Moon Walk", July 21, 1969 - "Lunar / Liftoff" and July 24, 1969 - "Columbia / Splashdown". The reverse is type captioned "Philatelic Cover - Don Not Open". Sealed in an archival sleeve, CAG 3000050-002. Some moderate to heavy wrinkling, otherwise very good.
