William Bourne. The House That Jeff Built. New York: The American News Company, 1868. 8vo, 16 pages. Contains thirteen vignettes with accompanying verse blaming Jefferson Davis and the slavery system for the Civil War, using the same formula as the popular nursery rhyme, "The House That Jack Built." Printed wrappers. Front cover is chipped at the lower and right edges and one small tear can be seen at the upper edge. Binding is reinforced.
