Description
Japanese Wakizashi Signed Mutsu No Kami. 27" overall with an 18.75" bright blade exhibiting a wavy well-defined temper line, a few tiny flaws and a dark single hole tang. Silver habaki, gilded brass tsuba with ocean wave design on both sides. Handle with matching gilded fuchi and kashira, silver bird menuki and purple silk wrap. Fuchi exhibits a five pedal flower mon. Black lacquered wood scabbard shows seam cracks and losses at the throat. Carved horn-handled kogai with brass blade missing design elements.Auction Info
