Civil War U.S. Army Model 1862 Percussion Signal Pistol Manufactured by William Marston, New York in 1862 with an estimated quantity of 1,000. It measures 7 5/8" from the bottom end of the grips to the muzzle center, .75 caliber with a flared 1 3/4" barrel. Brass frame with steel hammer, trigger and ejection lever. Stamped on the bottom center of the frame "Army Signal Pistol 1862 A.J.M." Steel is smooth and dark, brass displays an undisturbed patina. Tight action, one walnut grip displays an old nailed repair.
