Description

Albert Einstein Typed Letter Signed. One page, 8" x 10.25" (sight), Caputh; December 3, 1932. Addressed to a Dr. Fritz Bamberger, in German. English translation is mounted to verso of frame. It reads in full: "I will not come to New York but will go by sea directly to California. I would send the German copies with signature together with the English translations without signature. P.S. The signed copies can be picked up from my secretary, Miss Helene Dukas, Wilmersdorf, Hindenburg Street 92a (in the A.M.) Telephone #, H7, Wilmersdorf 2646." Matted and framed along with a black and white photograph of Einstein and his wife at their house in Caputh that was taken by Lotte Jacobi. Overall size is 18.5" x 29.5". Not examined outside of the frame.

Condition: Smoothed mailing folds and creases. Some small pin-sized holes to vertical crease with one to center horizontal crease. Lightly toned.
