[George A. Custer]. Copy of Herbert Myrick's Cache la Poudre Inscribed to Libbie Custer. New York: Orange Judd Company, 1905. 4to. Original smoke tanned buckskin decorated with an illustration of a cowboy in brown; spine stamped in brown. First edition, limited to 500 numbered copies, this being "168."

Inscribed to Libbie Custer on the front free endpaper: "Elizabeth B. Custer / In memory of one whose last heroism was the fitting end to a noble life - as the author hopes to demonstrate later. Herbert Myrick / Christmas 1905."

Condition: Covers lightly rubbed with minor edgewear. Some toning to the interior, including offset from the illustrations; light, scattered foxing or soiling throughout.

Provenance: Presented by Elizabeth Bacon Custer to May Custer Elmer; thence by descent and inheritance to our consignor.
