Description
Orville Wright Signed Photograph. Black-and-white photograph, 3 ½ x 2 ½ inches, Kitty Hawk, N.C; no date. A title along the bottom margin reads, "First Motor-Flight" and depicts the first flight of Orville Wright. Signed, "Orville Wright."Pioneers in American aviation, the Wright brothers launched their first sustained flight in a motor-powered airplane on December 17, 1903. Orville's flight lasted twelve seconds and covered 120 feet. Wilber later flew for fifty-nine seconds and covered 852 feet.
Condition: Photograph very lightly toned and the bottom left corner is slightly bent. Stamped "525" on verso.
