Description

1822 Mississippi Slave Receipt. One partially printed page, 7.5" x 4.25", Adams County, [Mississippi]; June 10, 1822. Reporting the sale of a slave named Joshua to a Mr. Malcolm McNeill. Signed by the County Clerk Woodson Wren.

Condition: Dark toning throughout, with foxing. Uneven edges with chipping. There are small tears at the lower two edges, which appear to be reinforced with archival tape on verso. Areas of ink burn-through.
