John F. Kennedy: An Extremely Rare PT-109 Tie Clip in SOLID 14K. GOLD. One of the most familiar and endearing 1960 campaign items, these PT boats in several styles of tie clips and pins, struck in both gilt brass and silver-colored metal, were distributed by the tens of thousands at headquarters and rallies across the nation. A "horse of a different hue," however, is this marked 14 karat gold version, which was distributed in very limited numbers, and only at the highest levels of the campaign. Over the years we have handled literally hundreds of the standard variety, however, this is the first opportunity we have had to present a solid gold example. Length 1.75 ".Auction Info
