Description

[George A. Custer]. Engraved Tablespoon and Fork. Two pieces of shell-pattern sterling silver flatware owned by Elizabeth Bacon Custer, each stamped "sterling" on the reverse of the handle. The tablespoon, measuring 8 1/4 inches, is engraved "Custer." The fork, measuring 7 3/4 inches, with monogram "EBC." Housed together in a brown felt pouch.

Condition: Light tarnish and surface wear consistent with age.

Provenance: Presented by Elizabeth Bacon Custer to May Custer Elmer; thence by descent and inheritance to our consignor.
