LIMITED EDITION, one of eighty-five copies. Inscribed and signed by Jacqueline Kennedy to Special Assistant to the President, Fred Holborn, "For Fred Holborn, The President was going to give you this for Christmas. Please accept it now from me. With deepest appreciation, Jacqueline Kennedy, December 1963." Quarto. Bound in full dark red calf, title stamped in gilt, with four gilt stamped stars, Presidential seal on the front board, boards ruled in gilt, with Holborn's initials in gilt at the lower right corner of the front board. Marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, red silk ribbon marker. Housed in a matching slipcase of marbled paper covered boards.

These specially-bound, limited edition copies were given as gifts exclusively to select members of the White House cabinet and staff.

Condition: Boards scuffed and a bit rubbed, spine sunned and rubbed. Slipcase with some rubbing and other edgewear.
