Limited edition of 400 copies printed to handmade paper, of which this is number 14, signed by the author as "Joy Maya Angelou" and the illustrator to the limitation page. Folio (21.75 x 17.5 inches; 552 x 444 cm). Unpaginated. Illustrated with five lithographs by John T. Biggers. Publisher's maroon cloth lettered in black. Housed in matching clamshell case. Fine.Angelou specifically request John T. Biggers, her favorite artist, as the illustrator for this limited edition released of her poem. "...what has come together here more basically are the accomplishments of two richly endowed artists -on in literature and one in art. And united them so triumphantly has been the achievement of dedicated experts in typography, printing, papermaking and fine book binding."
