FIRST EDITION, with code "C-D" on copyright, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR on the front free endpaper: "For Edith M. Waje / with my best wishes / E. B. W." Spine rubbed with some wear and splits repaired, corners a little worn, some toning to board edges, endpapers toned. Dust jacket unclipped ("$2.00"), spine panel defective and partially perished, a few other chips and small holes to panels. - E. B. White. The Second Tree from the Corner. New York: Harper & Brothers Publishers, [1950]. 8vo, original gray cloth-backed blue boards, spine lettered in yellow; dust jacket. FIRST EDITION, with code "M-C" on copyright, LIMITED ISSUE, one of 500 copies SIGNED by the author "EBW." Some slight discoloration to endpapers at gutters; dust jacket unclipped ("$3.00"), spine panel slightly sunned, minor edgewear. Bookplate of Mattie H. Straughan mounted on half-title. - [E. B. White]. William Strunk, Jr. The Elements of Style... With Revisions, an Introduction, and a New Chapter on Writing by E. B. White. New York: The Macmillan Company, [1959]. 8vo, original black cloth, gilt-lettered on spine; dust jacket. First Edition of this revision. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR [to editor William Targ] on the front free endpaper: "With greetings from / EB White." Signed by Targ at the top of the same page. With a typed letter signed ("EB White") to Mrs. Targ, 12 February 1970, one page, thanking her for her congratulations on his receiving a medal, and mentioning his upcoming The Trumpet of the Swan. Dust jacket with corners clipped (but priced "$2.50"), some light edgewear and soiling.
