Two parts in one volume. Small folio (11.5 x 7.75 inches; 292 x 197 mm). [8], Horae Minores Diurnae Breviarii Mozárabici, juxta regulam Beati Isidori Archiepiscopi Hispalensis Hispaniarum Doctoris [1]-137; [Frontispiece], [1]-198 (pages 133-135 incorrectly numbered 233-235) pages. Three full-page copper engravings by Joseph Nava. Text printed in red and black. Contemporary brown calf with a hand-written title label mounted to the spine. Marbled endpapers. Ex-libris stamp of the Rev. L. Kenzel and a contemporary ownership signature on the verso of the front free endpaper. With a "Printed in Germany" ink stamp on the verso of the title page. Text block edges dyed red. Very good. Boards with moderate to heavy scuffing and wear along the edges; internally clean. "Contains some musical notation printed from copperplates, and is particularly interesting for its rubrics and very numerous hymns. As a specimen of Mexican typography alone the volume is one of considerable interest. Angelopolis is the same as La Puebla de los Angeles, or more briefly, La Puebla."Sabin 49459.
