FIRST AMERICAN EDITION. Originally published in 1915 as Die Verwandlung in Germany and first issued in English in London in 1937, this edition marks the story's first appearance in the United States. The translation is also by A. L. Lloyd, who was responsible for the original English translation.
Condition: Dust jacket unclipped (priced "$2.75"); paper loss at head of spine; rear panel lightly browned and soiled; light wear at folds.
