Debates, Resolutions and other Proceedings of the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts... Together with the Yeas and Nays on the Decision of the Grand Question. To Which the Federal Constitution is Prefixed. Boston: Printed and Sold by Adams and Nourse; and Benjamin Russell, and Edmund Freeman, 1778. First edition. Small quarto. 216 pages. Late nineteen-century half black pebbled morocco and marbled boards, spine stamped in gilt. Later gray endpapers, all edges trimmed and speckled red. Rebacked, with nineteenth-century spine laid down, boards scuffed and rubbed, spine panel chipping, other edgewear. Library ink stamp to both pastedowns and front fly leaf, ink deaccession stamp to front pastedown, remnants of earlier endpapers to both pastedowns, ink donation annotation to front fly leaf. Original or contemporary endpapers, all edges trimmed. Boards scuffed and worn, corners rubbed (one refreshed), other edgewear. Bookplate to front pastedown, ink ownership to title page. Scattered foxing and soiling to text block. Very good. Sabin 100029.
