Plains Quilled Stone-Headed Club and Knife in a Quilled Sheath, Circa Nineteenth Century. The double-tapered stone club head overlaid in hide covered in red, white, yellow, and blue quillwork, the slender hide-wrapped wood shaft decorated with encircling quilled wrapping, together with a tapering rectangular knife sheath covered on the front surface with red, white, and purple quillwork, containing a knife with a smooth wood handle with dovetailed lead bolster and spear point blade. Clubs with this sort of overlay are quite rare. Club length 25.5"; sheathed knife length 12". Condition: Good/ Fair with some minor damage and losses to quillwork.
