Description
James G. Blaine: Grouping of Medals and Pins. Of the twenty-one pieces offered, the medals range in size from 26mm to 76mm and include white metal, copper, brass, enamel, and wood. Expected wear and light scratching are present, with varying amounts of tarnish throughout. The enamel and brass shield, JGB-1884-39, is missing its pin. The only picture pin in this lot, JGB-1884-62, has spotting and fading to Blaine's portrait and maintains a stickpin at the back. JGB-1884-14 includes an eagle hanger with pin, and JGB-1884-1 has light wear and soiling, showing adhesive residue at the back. In overall great condition, these would make nice additions to a display.Auction Info
