Description

Pair of Tammany Mechanical Banks. Made by the J. & E. Stevens Company of Cromwell, Connecticut. The coin's weight in the politician's hand causes the hand to lower and fall into the slot, depositing the coin into his pocket, while he nods in appreciation. Patented December 23, 1876. Each retains a large percentage of the original paint and measure 5.75" tall.
