Thomas Jefferson: Liverpool Jug. 9" hand-painted Liverpool jug. One side shows a shepherdess, the other a three-masted ship flying the American flag. An eagle with fifteen stars appears below the spout, captioned "Peace, Commerce and Honest Friendship with All Nations -- Entangling Alliances with None. JEFFERSON. Anno Domini 1804."

Condition: Poor. Replaced handle. Chips to spout. Crack that runs down from the lip, extending halfway across the ship, along with corresponding surface discoloration. Fading.
