Group of items that are part of the "Johnny Baker" archive we sold in our October 2, 2017 sale. 1) Cabinet card of Baker in his show uniform, by F. A. Place of Chicago. 2) Cabinet card of Baker captioned "Johnnie Baker. Champion Boy Shot of the World. Buffalo Bill's Wild West." Signed by Baker on the verso: "Dear Parents/ I am very truly/ Your son/ L. H. B. Jr.". 3) Unmarked CDV with vignette portrait of a smiling Ferrell, apparently a candid shot on the show grounds. 4) 4.75" x 6.75" mounted photo of Baker and Ferrell on horseback on the show grounds. 5) 3.5" x 5.5" mounted photo of a jaunty Baker smoking a cigar behind-the-scenes. 6) 4" x 3.25" photo of Ferrell in costume on horseback. 7) 3.25" x 4.25" snapshot of Baker and other performers taking-a-peek at the show from behind the canvas curtain. 8) 6.5" x 8.75" mounted enlargement of #7.
