William McKinley and William Jennings Bryan: Assorted Group of 3 Campaign Artifacts....
Description
William McKinley and William Jennings Bryan: Assorted Group of 3 Campaign Artifacts. Three items from the 1896 campaign: (1) 1 1/4" jugate inscribed, "Free Silver" and "Bryan-Sewell" with Whitehead and Hoag back paper. (2) 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" mechanical goldbug with original paper portraits of McKinley and Hobart. (3) Small gilt stickpin with figural bust of McKinley.Condition: All items are excellent. The goldbug is functional but missing the trigger (stinger) at the bottom that engages the spring release. Therefore it takes a bit of playing with to release the wings once clicked into place.
