Description

John F. Kennedy: Hand-Corrected Typescript. This ten-page annotated speech is titled "Remarks of Senator John F. Kennedy (Dem. Mass.)" and has handwritten corrections throughout by JFK. To be given on the 130th anniversary of Andrew Jackson's inauguration, the speech spans from topics including the untapped wisdom and skills of America's older citizens to labor-management reform to Berlin to the need for new ideas in America. Measuring 8" x 10.5", these pages exhibit light foxing, toning, and light brown staining throughout. A few minor old folds are present and small tears can be seen at the edges. The pages' top left corner shows evidence of where a staple once was. In overall great condition, both the typed and handwritten text remains bold.
