Description
Andrew Jackson: Grouping of Hard Times Tokens. (1) CE-1834-14, 28mm, copper. The obverse features Andrew Jackson brandishing a sword and holding money bags. The text reads, "'A Plain System' 'Void of Pomp.'" The reverse features a donkey and reads, "The Constitution As I Understand It." (2) Four examples of CE-1834-16, 28mm, three copper and one brass. The obverse features the text "I Take The Responsibility," and Jackson sitting in a safe can be seen at the center. The reverse is similar to CE-1834-14.Condition: All exhibit the expected minor wear and tarnish, and the copper examples have a nice patina. In overall fine condition.
