Description

Andrew Jackson: Six "Hard Times" Tokens. CE-1834-9, 28mm, appear to be four brass and two copper. The obverses feature a boar inscribed "My Third Heat," and the text "Perish Credit. Perish Commerce. 1834" and "My Victory; Down With The/ Bank." The reveres bear Jackson's bust and the text "My Substitute For The U.S. Bank" and "My/ Experiment/ My/ Currency/ My/ Glory."

Condition: All exhibit wear and tarnish. One of the copper samples has a few dings to the rim, and two of the brass samples have moderate staining-one on the obverse and the other on the reverse. Another brass example has a spot on the obverse to the left of the boar. These would still display well.
