Civil War: Identification / Dog Tag of Wilkens B. Newell (Musician) 155th PA Infantry. 30mm, brass. Civil War soldier's identification tag belonging to Wilkens B. Newell. He enlisted on August 22, 1862 as a Musician and was mustered into "H" Co. Pennsylvania 155th Infantry on the same day. He was mustered out on June 2, 1865 at Washington, D.C. The regiment participated in many major engagements including: Battle of Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, The Overland Campaign, Siege of Petersburg, Battle of Appomattox.Condition: Only lightly worn with strong details, quite legible, extra fine.
