Description
Jefferson Davis: "Southern Confederation" Ribbon. "The South Forever!" it proclaims. The early first national Confederate flag is pictured with "Southern Confederation" above and the names of the president and vice president below. Almost certainly issued very early in the Civil War, probably to celebrate the two leaders' Inauguration. Pictured by Sullivan & Fischer (CSA-2). This 2 3/8" x 8 1/8" ribbon is in very nice condition with only some light toning. The reds and blues are still vibrant and the silk is in great condition.
