Description
Theodore Roosevelt: Largest Size Rough Rider Pin. A gorgeous example of this deep sepia, 2 1/4" real photo button depicting TR in his Rough Rider uniform titled, appropriately, "Rough Rider." A partially visible 1900 copyright date toward the bottom curvature of the piece indicates this might be a vice-presidential button. Items showing TR in his Spanish American War uniform are especially beloved by collectors, and this variety is one of the best, especially considering its size. The pin is still present at the back, with Photo Jewelry Company of Chicago stamped into the metal at the center.Condition: Very light scratching throughout, with a small scuff to the rim at four o'clock. Minor oxidation at verso.
