Description

Theodore Roosevelt: Rough Rider Embossed Brass Stickpin. This charming and exceedingly rare piece measures 55mm x 44mm and features Rough Rider TDR on horseback, brandishing a saber. His faithful steed gallops above the slogan, "Teddy Will Get There." This was probably created for the 1901 or 1904 campaign. In 2004 we auctioned the Hake book plate example, item 3087, from his 1789-1916 volume for over $2,000. This example has the original preferred large stickpin on the verso, unlike the safety pin assembly, which is the more typically seen alternative.

Condition: Minimal tarnish. Excellent condition.
