Description

Woman's Suffrage: Wonderful Die-Cut Window Display. 21 1/2" x 14" die-cut cardboard standee depicting the Capitol with a sunrise behind it, flanked by two suffragettes waving "Votes For Women" pennants. It is titled "Help Our Cause Buy This Product" and captioned "Suffrage Bouquet Toilet Soap 'In the Cause of Cleanliness' Absolutely Pure". Likely issued concurrently with the Washington, D. C. demonstrations of March 3rd and 4th, 1913, when Woodrow Wilson came into office. Two vertical creases on either side which, when folded, project the marchers into the foreground, giving a sense of depth and 3-dimensionality. No markings. We've never seen this before. It certainly ranks as one of the finest suffrage display pieces in the hobby.

Condition: Loosely affixed to a backing board. Minor crease to the tip of one pennant. Bold colors. Excellent.
