Description

Lincoln & Hamlin: Outstanding Two-Color Jugate Lithograph Print. 16" x 22" lithograph published in 1860 by C. H. Brainard of Boston, titled "Lincoln and Hamlin." Printed in black & tan, it features busts of the Republican nominees within a wreath, flanking an American flag. An eagle appears overhead, perched on a split rail fence post. The White House appears below, along with an inkwell, book of U. S. laws, and the Holy Bible. Wide borders with some light soiling, of little consequence. It would be hard to overstate the rarity of this print. We know of only two other examples. One being in the Library of Congress, and the other in a private collection.
