Description
John Quincy Adams: Cameo Pendant. 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" (not counting loop) cameo portrait of John Quincy Adams, in a 10 or 14K gold mount with suspension loop. Unsigned, but inscribed "J. Q. Adams" on the shoulder. We believe this dates from the 1840's and was produced in England where Adams was well-regarded for his abolition views, having successfully defended the "slave mutineers" of the Amistad.
