Description

Henry Clay: Unique Bar-be-que Ribbon. 2" x 8" pink silk ribbon commemorating a Whig bar-be-que held in Dayton, Ohio on September 29, 1842, but issued when Clay was running for president in 1844. An accompanying note indicates it was a "Badge worn at a convention held at Dayton Ohio when Henry Clay was the Whig Candidate for President 1844". Very nice. From the Merrill C. Berman Collection.
