Description
Lot of Civil War Cartridge Boxes and Cap Pouch.Comprising: 1) Embossed U.S. marked pouch, measuring 6 1/2-inches by 5 1/2-inches. Stamped "Rock
Island Arsenal" on verso. Stitching half-way undone along bottom perimeter, Leather stiff. 2) Script NG [National Guard] marked box, measuring 8-inches by 4 1/2-inches. Heavy cracking and wear to leather, securing loop split, lacks buckles on bottom. 3) Brass oval escutcheon marked box, measuring 7-inches by 4 1/2-inches. Interior has three rows of canvas sleeves that accommodate 24 cartridges. Securing loop split.
