Wood served in Battery C, New York 4th Heavy Artillery, being promoted to Captain on February 24, 1865. Percival of New York back mark, horizontal crease through portrait, light soiling. 2) Vignette civilian portrait of Frederick T. Moss who served in Company I, New York 111th Infantry. He was wounded at the Wilderness on May 5, 1864. 3) Vignette portrait of Crawford D. White who served in Company F, New York 108th Infantry. J. W. Maser of Rochester back mark with revenue stamp. 4) 3/4 length civilian portrait of Crawford D. White . Carbutt of Chicago back mark with clipping of obituary for Captain White dated 1863, indicating he died from "consumption contracted while a prisoner at Richmond". Light soiling. 5) Civilian portrait of Robert E. Holmes who served in Company B, New York 27th Infantry. He was killed at Antietam on September 17, 1862. 6) Military standing portrait of Robert E. Holmes. Powelson of Rochester back mark, light mottling.
