Description
J.M. Marlin Falling Block Single Shot Rifle.Serial no. 6153, .32-20 caliber, 26-inch octagonal barrel with rear elevation sight. Blued finish. Left side of receiver stamped: J.M. MARLIN NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. / PATENTED FEBRUARY 9, 1875 / BALLARD'S PATENT NOV. 5, 1861. Smooth walnut stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate.
Condition: Fair. Retaining traces of original finish, the balance a dark grey age patina with scattered wear and pitting. Wood showing scuffs, scratches and bruises. Action needs adjustment, non-functioning.
