An oval photographic portrait of a Union soldier posed with a rifle. Framed and matted to an overall 12"x 13.75". Amateur hand-coloring to the background and details of the soldier's uniform. Index card affixed to the back of the frame, written in blue and black ink, "President Lincoln was to his camp, Edward Jolley, Born Aug (14?), 1830, in Virginia, died Feb 28, 1923 age 92 years 4 months 17 days, emigrated to Van Wert Co. Ohio and married Jane Hinton"

Condition: Lightly rubbed and soiled; mat somewhat dampstained; frame with minor wear.
