Includes: 1) Oneida County War Committee medal, bronze, 38-mm, suspended from a bronze pendant via a red/white/blue silk ribbon. Obverse captioned: "PRESENTED BY THE ONEIDA COUNTY WAR COMMITTEE"; the reverse: "IN / RECOGNITION / OF / PATRIOTIC SERVICE / DURING THE / WAR BETWEEN THE / UNITED STATES / AND SPAIN / 1898. This example awarded to "R. W. Norton / Co. E 1st N.Y. Vols." Sold in the original cardboard box of issue. 2) Identical in form to the previous example, engraved to "F. Shoemaker / Co. G. 2nd N.Y. V.I." 3) Identical in form to the previous example, engraved to "J. W. Shotthafer Co. E. 1st N.Y. Vol." 4) Troy, New York Citizen Corps, 2nd Volunteer Infantry medal, bronze 49 x 49-mm. Planchet captioned: "ILIUM FRUIT TROJA EST. 2 N.Y. V.I" Pendant marked "SPAIN 1898 U.S.A."
